Almost 21 months after its December 2009 launch, the bird-flinging game now boasts of 350 million downloads and over 300 million minutes of gameplay each day. And its merchandising side is seeing similar gains. According to Andrew Stalbow,Rovio’s General Manager for North America, monthly sales of plush toys and T-shirts are now in the millions. Not resting on its laurels, the franchise is readying two new games for release by the end of the year and is working on new features like geolocation to spicen things up.

Here Are All the Gestures That Beat Every Level of Angry Birds

Does anyone actually play Angry Birds anymore? Whatever. Artist Evan Roth actually had a novel idea with Angry Birds that doesn’t include plush pillows and crappy TV shows. He painted all the gestures required to beat 300 levels of Angry Birds. It’s beautiful smudging.

Roth says:

“[Angry Birds All Levels] comments on the rise of casual gaming, identity and our relationship with mobile devices. Consisting of 300 sheets of tracing paper and black ink, it’s a visualization of every finger swipe needed to complete the popular mobile game of the same name. The gestures exist on a sheet of paper that’s the same size as the iPhone on which it was originally created.

It’s a lot of work to play Angry Birds that much! Check out his project here. [Evan Roth via TechCrunch]
